An air cavity is left to trap heat and make servicing the spa easy.
A 2-inch thick bead-board insulating foam is installed to keep warm air from leaving the cavity.
A plastic vapor barrier is installed, keeping the foam panels in place and completely sealing the air cavity.
A molded plastic base is used to eliminate the possibility of wood rot and to completely seal off the spa from pests.
