Tips For Hot Tub Maintenance This Spring

Did You Know Spas Spring Maintenance Is Necessary
Hot tubs are an important accessory when it comes to relaxation, especially since they can be used all the time, regardless of the season. Therefore, it is essential to give due importance to the treatment and disinfection of the water from the hot tub.
We present a short checklist for your hot tub maintenance this spring.
  • Check the pH twice a week using a test kit. The pH value should be between 7.2 and 7.6. If the pH is higher than 7.6, add 15 g of pH minus for each cubic meter of water, to decrease it by 0.2 units.
  • Check the oxygen concentration before use! The limits should be 5-8 mg / liter.
  • Use granulated active oxygen every week, along with its activator (10-30 g active oxygen and 10 ml activator for every cubic meter of spa water).
  • Use a scum digester (1 tablespoon for every 1 cubic meter of water).
  • Clean the filter every week.
  • Empty the spa regularly, which means about once a month. If it is used daily by several people, then we recommend that you empty it once a week.
  • Check the water recirculation system. It should work at least three hours a day, but preferably all day long.
  • Use all the jets! Start up all the jets at least one hour each day.
